"Tibet -Treasures from the Roof of the World"
Tibet, a powerful Asian country in ancient times, has a long history and a unique culture, including that of Tibetan Buddhism. Its cultural assets attract worldwide attention. This is Japan's first full-scale exhibition to feature Tibetan history and culture. The masterpieces on display include national treasures, such as statues and pictures of Buddha, normally housed in the Potala Palace, as well as other cultural properties from the Tibet Autonomous Region of China.
