Special Exhibition
"SELF and OTHER: Portraits from Asia Europe"

Some 200 modern and contemporary art works are used to trace the historical changes in self and others, as well as cross-cultural exchanges in Asia and Europe. This event takes place at the same time as one in the National Museum of Ethnology at the Banpaku Kinen Koen in Osaka.(from Sep. 11 to Nov. 25)

Permanent Exhibition "Collection III"

The exhibition is held together with "SELF and OTHER: Portraits from Asia and Europe", presents works in which people of today are portrayed. Mankind has long been an important artistic theme. Although the methodology and significance of art have evolved, the importance of portraying people remains undiminished.
