The Japan World Exposition 1970 Commemorative Fund offers the Grant to projects in various fields such as international cultural exchange, international goodwill, academic study, education, and so forth.
1 Projects contributing to international cultural exchange and international goodwill
Areas of activities contributing to international cultural exchange and international goodwill include construction of a Japanese garden or Japanese culture center, an exchange of people, a performance of performing arts, or an art exhibition related to Japan in your country.
A performance or exhibition to introduce your country and culture in Japan are also included in these activities.

2 International projects in the fields of academic study, education, social welfare, medical care,
and hygiene and public health
These types of activities include the translation and publishing of books related to Japan, the purchasing of tools and equipment for Japanese language education as well as the holding of international conferences in the areas of academic study, education, social welfare, medical care, and hygiene and public health with an agenda related to Japan, or, those for which commitments from global and Japanese communities are required.

3 International projects designed for conservation of nature and the human environment
The JEC Fund supports various activities for nature conservation and human environment preservation including the construction of nature conservation centers and museums as well as the holding of international conferences that feature the environment.
